Sleep To This: ‘Soft Dreams Osaka’

Lately I’ve been having trouble sleeping, when I woke up today I made this EP, the whole thing, in one day.

Leaving my comfort space, everything was written and recorded linearly, with no plan or design in mind. It’s one long song or 5 separate ones, and you watch it while you hear it. Soft Dreams is about eating takeout on the floor of our hotel in Japan, and missing her (even when you tell yourself you don’t).

In the 1910’s the Japanese were trying to make their own versions of Disney cartoons because of the supreme impact they were having on western culture. What we were left with was amazing fables confused by what they were miniature movies.

It’s a lullaby, listen in bed, as one seamless track… Sweet Dreams.
